CommScope’s Pinder Chauhan, director of global technical support, recently participated in the Women in Telecom breakfast panel at The New IP conference in San Jose, California.
Pinder was asked to participate after writing a blog post announcing a new initiative by CommScope to help women who want to begin careers in the fast-growing wireless field of distributed antenna systems (DAS) solutions. CommScope is now offering certification trainings on CommScope DAS solutions to female employees of its partner organizations at no charge to qualified women professionals, based on limited seating availability.
To pre-qualify for free instruction, you must be a woman:
- With wireless network background and a working-level RF knowledge;
- Currently working in the DAS field or have a desire to enter the DAS field;
- Currently experienced with CommScope products or have a desire to pursue employment in the DAS field using CommScope products.
At the conference, Sarah Thomas, editorial operations director at Light Reading, interviewed Pinder about CommScope’s effort to support women in wireless and our involvement in the “new IP.” Check out the video for details.
The local CBS affiliate also interviewed Pinder for a radio segment about the Women in Telecom breakfast panel. Use the link to listen.
