SUWANEE, Ga., March 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Global telecommunications company Altice selected the E6000™ Converged Edge Router (CER) from ARRIS International, plc (NASDAQ: ARRS) to enable the delivery of gigabit Internet services to its subscribers.
Altice will deploy the ARRIS E6000 CER with SFR in France and Orange-Tricom in The Dominican Republic, and it will expand the E6000 CER footprint in its recently acquired US property, Suddenlink Communications.
The deployments expand the sizeable list of global service providers that have chosen the ARRIS E6000 CER on their journey to offering gigabit-speed services. The market-leading E6000 CER offers a clear path to DOCSIS® 3.1 and also enables significant operational savings in terms of rack-space real estate, power consumption and cooling requirements.

Selecting the ARRIS E6000 CER is a strategic technology investment for Altice that benefits its global operations today and into the future," said Bruce McClelland, President of Network & Cloud, Global Services at ARRIS. "These deployments further cement the ARRIS E6000 CER as the leading CCAP solution for operators who want the best technology to meet the crucial demand for higher broadband speeds as more and more devices become connected in the home."
"Working with ARRIS assures us from both a technological and operational perspective as the ARRIS E6000 CER is a proven, global platform with a clear roadmap for the future," said Max Blumberg, CTO of Altice. "We look forward to deploying the platform across the Altice properties as we strive to deliver the broadband speeds and services our customers demand from us."
