SYSTIMAX® Solutions, the worldwide leader in structured connectivity solutions, today announced the availability of a connectivity solution for harsh environments such as pharmaceutical and automobile manufacturing plants. The solution is compatible with the current SYSTIMAX® product range and is IP65 and IP67 rated to protect cabling from water and dust ingress at temperatures between -13ºF and 185ºF (-25oC and 85oC). The International Protection (IP) rating system classifies the degree of protection from solid objects and liquids afforded by electrical equipment and enclosures.
The SYSTIMAX Ruggedized Connector System has a corrosive-resistant, gasketed faceplate to protect the cable and connectors from the harsh surrounding environment. The solution also has built-in features to prevent accidental disconnections and rotation when mounted to the faceplate.
