PRELIMINARY SPECIFICATION

The CommScope 1Gb/s GPON ONU, Model SF2400G is an ITU-T based open OMCI data only GPON ONU for indoor commercial and residential customer premise applications. The ONU provides operators with an off-the-shelf plug and play high-speed service access and distribution device for deployment with CommScope’s GPON Optical Line Terminal (OLT) platforms.

The ONU requires minimal setup and configuration to enable operation. For connection to various subscriber-side premises equipment, the unit supports four auto-sensing RJ-45 copper ports, at 100/1000BaseT. The ONU supports bridged mode operation, with standards and protocol support to enable numerous commercial services and premise demarcation applications. With open OMCI provisioning support, the ONU is designed to support multi-vendor interoperability with GPON OLT vendor systems.
