PRELIMINARY SPECIFICATION

The CommScope 10Gb/s EPON ONU Model SF2101XE is an IEEE 802.3av compliant, data only, bridge mode ONU, for indoor commercial and residential customer premise applications. The ONU provides operators with an off-the-shelf plug and play high-speed service access and distribution device for deployment with CommScope’s EPON Optical Line Terminal (OLT) platforms. The ONU is designed to support interoperability with other EPON OLT vendor systems. The ONU requires minimal setup and configuration to enable operation and provides support for 10/10 Gb/s symmetric EPON modes of operation. For connection to various subscriber side premises equipment, the unit supports one 10GE auto-sensing RJ45 port and one 1GE auto-sensing RJ-45 port, at 100/1000BaseT. The ONU supports bridged mode operation, with standards and protocol support to enable numerous commercial services and premise demarcation applications.
