Densification is a term often heard in the wireless industry these days. It refers to adding more capacity in the network, usually by adding more cell sites or site sectors. Wireless operators have embraced the need for densification in order to support mobile data use now and in the future. But there are still plenty of questions about how to densify.
CommScope is here to help, and we’re offering that help via Twitter. CommScope will host a Twitter Chat on Wednesday, October 4, from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Eastern. We will have a number of wireless network experts online at the same time to answer questions about densifying outdoor wireless networks. Some of the topics they will cover are:
- What are the critical considerations for outdoor small cells/metro cells?
- How does outdoor DAS fit into densification efforts today?
- How about sector splitting and higher orders of sectorization at macro cell sites?
- What is the role of fiber densification?
- How does densification fit into 5G?
Network engineers, wireless industry followers, engineering students and anyone interested in cellular networks are welcome to participate in the conversation. The chat will kick off with questions posed from the CommScope account (@CommScope). We’ll publish the questions we plan to ask in advance, and of course, participants are encouraged to ask their own questions, too. Our goal is to stimulate mutual learning and information sharing.
Join the conversation with us on Twitter on October 4 at 11:30 a.m. Eastern. Search for and use the hashtag #COMMtweets to ask questions and offer your own responses. Be sure to use the #COMMtweets hashtag to take part in the discussion!
Have any questions about how the Twitter Chat will work? Leave me a comment, and I’ll be happy to help.
